"I am an artist working in glass whose creations exploit the extremes of shape and form. The inspiration of my work is drawn from both natural and historical sources."
Beginning in 1997 through 2004, I held the position of Artistic Coordinator for Waterford Crystal, Ltd., and in the seven years prior, I acted as studio manager for Dale Chihuly. I completed a commission including three lamps and six decorative vessels for Marshall Field's landmark store in Chicago. Additionally, acting in my various capacities with Chihuly, Inc., and Waterford Crystal, I have overseen the execution and production of large commissions and installations, such as Chihuly Over Venice and SOFA CHICAGO.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with many designers, engineers, architects, artists and heads of corporations in the realization of their ideas. Using Waterford Crystal, I worked with Marshall Fields in designing and fabricating a chandelier and companion wall panels that produced a stunningly elegant environment beneath the State Street location's famous Tiffany dome.
Throughout my artistic life, I have been fortunate to work closely with highly accomplished individuals. Having served a long apprenticeship from my first two years working at William Morris's side, progressing through eight years at Chihuly Studio where I felt the influences of Lino Tagliapetra, Pino Signoretto, Richard Royal, Martin Blank as well as Dale himself.
”Both consciously and unconsciously, I incorporate many of the bits and pieces of information gathered throughout my artistic development into what has become my own aesthetic, while striving to produce artwork of the highest caliber."
